
The Hon. District Chief Executive of Adaklu District, Mr. Phanuel Kadey Donkor has handed over a newly constructed Police Station to the Volta Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service. Subsequently, the Police Regional Command posted five(5) Officers to the station for its to become operational.
The Adaklu Ahunda Police Station has since been operational, helping protect life and property as well as fighting crime and criminality along the Ahunda – Tsrefe corridor of the Adaklu District.
Due to the good work of the Police despite the challenges confronting them in the area, the Hon. District Chief Executive and the Management of the Adaklu District Assembly presented a brand new motorbike and two counter chairs to the Ahunda Police Station. The items are expected to aid in the movement and administration of the station.
Presenting the items, Hon. Phanuel Donkor Kadey expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made so far by the Officers at the station particularly as the station is new and lacked many things. He pleaded that motorbike be well maintained, used for the intended purposes only, i. e. crime fighting and protection of life and property. The Hon. District Chief Executive admonishes the officers to eschew extortion of money from communities and motorists. He promised that the Assembly would be able in the future present a vehicle to the station.
On his part, ASP. Alex A. Yeboah, the Ho Municipal Commander of the Police who received the items on behalf of the station said he was very grateful to the Hon. District Chief Executive and the Assembly for taking seriously issues of security and protection of life and property in the District. He assured that on behalf of the Inspector General of Police and the Volta Regional Police Commander, the motorbike and chairs would be put to good use.
ASP. Alex A. Yeboah, also promised that the Police would maintain the motorbike and keep it in a good working condition.
The presentation was witnessed by the District Coordinating Director and some Management Staff of the Adaklu District Assembly as well as the Station Officer and his men at the Adaklu Ahunda Police Station.
